AS LONG AS JESUS IS PREACHED

Philippians 1:15-18

15 It is true that some preach Christ out of envy and rivalry, but others out of goodwill. 16 The latter do so out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. 17 The former preach Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing that they can stir up trouble for me while I am in chains. 18 But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice,

Paul was telling them that there two groups of Christians. Those who like how he was or that preach only for the glory of Jesus Christ and those who preach Jesus just to appear Holy. It didn’t matter as long as Jesus Christ was preached. Because even in the crowd of insecure or selfish, or prideful Christians, Jesus can still use them to reach someone that maybe he couldn’t. Today is no different; we sometimes don’t agree with other denominations due to the way they worship or their style of preaching. But like Paul, we shouldn’t judge them. Jesus would not excuse their motives either, as long as they and us preach the one true gospel of Jesus Christ, we should not be or have denominational issues. Jesus Christ is as for all. And Satan uses our denominational human make up to take apart God’s word and His children.
