DON"T BOAST OR GLOAT IN WINNING!!!!

PROVERBS 24:17-18

17Do not gloat when your enemy falls; when they stumble, do not let your heart rejoice, 18or the LORD will see and disapprove and turn his wrath away from them.

24: 17-18   David, Solomon’s father, refused to gloat over the death of his lifelong enemy, Saul (see 2   Samuel   1). On the other hand, the nation of Edom rejoiced over Israel’s defeat and was punished by God for their attitude (Psalm 137: 7; Obadiah 1: 12). To gloat over the misfortunes of others is to make yourself the avenger and to put yourself in the place of God, who alone properly and fairly judges all the earth (see Deuteronomy 32: 35).

Tyndale. NIV Life Application Study Bible

This too can be seen as bragging about winning a race or beating someone in a game of golf! Or even catching the biggest fish! Some people just like to speak braggadociously to others when they beat someone in whatever the situation might be.

ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and know that GOD does NOT like a boastful proud heart because it takes the glory away from him! WHO IS ALWAYS THE MAKER OF OUR VICTORIES!!
