WHY BE A SLAVE
Galatians 5:1
5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
5:1 Christ died to set us free from sin and a long list of laws and regulations. Christ came to set us free—not free to do whatever we want because that would lead us back into slavery to our selfish desires. Rather, thanks to Christ, we are now free and able to do what was impossible before—to live unselfishly. Those who appeal to their freedom so that they can have their way or indulge their desires are falling back into sin. But it is also wrong to put a burden of law keeping on Christians. We must stand against those who would enslave us with rules, methods, or special conditions for being saved or growing in Christ. Tyndale. Life Application Study Bible NIV.
Today's society still wants to go on about slavery. We see it in other dictator countries. We even still hear about it here with all the racism that we fight against. Christ died for all of us, slave and free. So, we would all be free of the bondage of sin. And only Christ’s blood did this. Today religion and denominations still try to tell us we have to live a certain way or have to be saved by doing certain works. ON THE WAY HOME WALK WITH JESUS and know that only Jesus’ blood and faith in what He did at Calvary has set you free.
